Asking for something
Raise a request, and what happens next.
To ask
- 1Press New request at the top of any page.
- 2Pick the closest fit: publish an article, add or update items, design a new page, change a page, something's broken, or ask a question.
- 3Fill in what it asks for, and add any files or links.
- 4Press Send to the studio.
What happens next
- Luke or Zoe confirm the plan within a working day: how big it is and when it's due. You'll see it move to Planned.
- Something's broken is different: the 24-hour clock starts as soon as you send it.
- If we need more detail first, you'll get a question with a box for each answer. See When Luke has a question.
- Each request shows a progress line: Sent, Planned, In progress, Your approval, Live.
You can add files or links to a request after sending it, from Files and links on the request.
Help writing it
Not sure how to put it? Under each box are Polish, which tidies what you've written for clarity, and Expand, which fleshes your idea out into a fuller brief. Both change the text in the box for you to check, and Undo puts it back.
By email
You can also email a request to requests@in.pixelsilo.net. Send it from the address you sign in with and it becomes a request straight away, with any attachments, and you'll get a "Got it" reply with the request number. If you have more than one site with us, we work out which one it's for from what you write; if that isn't clear, Luke checks with you. Emails from other addresses go to Luke to check first.
